A beautiful suncatcher made from driftwood and green Scottish sea glass. Cascading pieces of sea glass dangle from the driftwood in a tiered colour palette from dark olive green to bright emerald, the evocatively named 'sea foam' and finishing with white. The seaglass has been strung using fishing line for that extra coastal feel! The mobile is completed with twine wrapping and a driftwood hanger. These mobiles look beautiful against windows, allowing the sunlight to filter through the glass and really show off the gorgeous colours. The driftwood hanger measures approx 40cm in length and 20cm wide. (Item:1640)
Bring a little bit of the beach into your home!
These fragments of antique sea glass gather between the rocks and pebbles at low tide. Everything has been gathered from the beautiful beaches in the East Neuk of Fife in Scotland. Sea glass is evocatively known as 'mermaid's tears'. When sailors were lost at sea, the mermaids would cry and their tears would wash up on the shore. The glass is tumbled and smoothed by the Scottish waves yet the colours are wonderfully vibrant. The transformative power of the sea ensures each fragment is entirely unique.
