Original beach-combed pebble art, handmade using antique sea pottery & driftwood from the glorious beaches of the East Neuk of Fife in Scotland.
This is a brand new range - incorporating original watercolour paintings and some of my most beautiful beach finds. The scenes and colours have been simplified allowing the natural beauty of the antique pottery to really pop out of the picture!
This seaside picture features a lovely blue whale and several pieces of gorgeous blue & white antique beach pottery. Berwick Law sits on the horizon featuring a really special piece of pottery with two little daisies. Another of my favourite pieces that I found on my birthday this year has a beautiful floral vine pattern. A piece of driftwood and some wire wrapping add the finishing touches including a silver fish in the sea, a seagull hovering over Berwick Law and water spouts for the whale.
This original pebble art comes in a wooden box frame and measures 18cm square. Please choose your frame colour (either white wood or rustic washed wood) using the drop down menu. (Item:1334)
These fragments of patterned pottery and china gather between the rocks and pebbles at low tide. Many of these pieces originate from the 1800’s and 1900’s, sometimes dating back to the Victorian and Regency eras when the nearby town of Kirkcaldy was at the heart of the Scottish pottery industry. Despite being tumbled and smoothed by the Scottish waves for so long, the patterns and colours remain wonderfully vibrant and the transformative power of the sea ensures each fragment is entirely unique.
