Beach Pottery Whale - Pebble Driftwood Ornament (No. 1111)
A driftwood ornament created using driftwood, antique beach pottery, stones and pebbles found washed-up on the beautiful beaches of the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland.
This tiny scene features a tiny blue whale made from antique beach pottery. Two more pieces of blue and white pottery form the sea in the foreground, one featuring the famous 'willow' pattern. The other piece is a very unusual, unidentified piece of beach pottery with a speckled blue & white pattern. Wire wrapping has also been used to create water spouts for the whale, a seagull in the sky and a tiny silver fish in the sea.
The piece measures approximately 9.5cm wide by 8cm high. The wood has a flat bottom so the piece can be a freestanding ornament. (Item: 1111)
