Hand Painted Highland Coo & Sheep - Beach Pottery Driftwood Ornament (No. 1117)
A driftwood ornament created using driftwood, antique beach pottery, stones and pebbles found washed-up on the beautiful beaches of the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland.
This tiny highland scene features a shaggy highland coo, hand-painted in metallic bronze and browns onto plain beach pottery. Pieces of green antique beach pottery form a grassy hill in the foreground and highland hills in the background, complete with a tiny black and white sheep! Finally a piece of beautifully vibrant blue & white floral patterned beach pottery represents water in the scene. Wire wrapping has been used to create horns and legs for the cow, a tiny seagull in the sky and the sheep.
The piece measures approximately 8.5cm wide by 7.5cm high. The wood has a flat bottom so the piece can be a freestanding ornament. (Item: 1117)
