Hand-Painted Pebble Puffin, Lighthouse & Cottage - Beach Pottery Driftwood Ornament (No. 1023)
A driftwood ornament created using driftwood, antique beach pottery, stones, pebbles and driftwood found washed-up on the beautiful beaches of the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland.
This little seaside scene features a colourful puffin, hand-painted onto plain white beach pottery. A hand-painted lighthouse and traditional East Neuk fisherman's cottage sit alongside on a driftwood harbour wall. The lighthouse is topped with a shiny silver whelk shell. Larger pieces of coloured beach pottery form the sea and a grassy hill in the foreground.
Wire wrapping has been used to create the puffin's feet, a seagull in the sky and a silver fish in the sea.
The scene is mounted onto a piece of driftwood that measures approximately 8cm wide by 8cm high. The wood has a flat bottom so the piece can be a freestanding ornament. (Item: 1023)
