This framed seaside beach collage features a tiny seagull and whale, all handmade using antique beach pottery, stones and pebbles found washed-up on the beautiful beaches of the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland.
This scene features a little seagull sitting on a piece of sea-worn pebble-dash masonry, found on Cellardyke beach. The seagull's wings are made from a tiny piece of cobalt blue Scottish sea glass. A little blue whale made from antique blue & white sea pottery swims alongside. A beautiful piece of blue sponge-ware pottery sits in the foreground and a lush, green island can be seen on the horizon. The pottery I use is often 19th Century antique beach pottery - probably Victorian. Wire wrapping has been used to make the seagull's feet and beak, a seagull in the sky, fish in the sea and water spouts for the whale.
The piece comes in a wooden box frame and measures 18cm square. Please choose your frame colour (either white wood or rustic washed wood) using the drop down menu. (Item:1189)
