These precious fragments, collated in a spectrum of greens, have been artfully arranged and preserved behind glass, a little beach-combing adventure for your wall!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI love the contrasting textures of \"old\" versus \"new\" and the harmony between manmade and natural elements, all unified by colour.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs with every beach find, each is unique and some of these will be very hard to part with. This collage includes:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ean old padlock which has turned a beautiful shade of blue\/green verdigris\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ea fragment of green circuit board\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ea piece of pottery with an unusual pattern of two trees\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ea ceramic rose - this is possibly from a graveside decoration called an Immortelle - these were wreaths of ceramic flowers placed under a glass dome, popular during the Victorian period.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ea green sea button with sand still embedded in the holes\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ea beautiful stem from a green sea glass bottle stopper\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ea piece of pottery with a tiny shamrock\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ean auger or turret shell\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ean unusual shard of green swirly sea glass - possibly from decorative tableware\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ean apple-green sea bead\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ea tiny \"sea-foam\" sea glass heart\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ea gnarled piece of weathered driftwood\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ea chunky piece of pale green V\u003cspan\u003eitrolite sea glass. This is identified by its ridged texture and was very strong glass used to make tiles in the 1930's.\u003c\/span\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ea thin piece of pottery with a lovely shiny, ridged green pattern\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs you can tell, I feel quite passionate about these pieces. The excitement of finding a special piece, gifted by the sea, never quite leaves me so I hope you enjoy this assortment of beach-combing goodness!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll the pottery included in the mosaics are sea-worn ceramic fragments that wash up on the beautiful beaches in the East Neuk of Fife in Scotland. Much of the pottery dates back to the Victorian era, when ceramic factories threw their 'seconds' into the sea and locals used to cast their broken pottery into the waves for good luck!\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe rough Scottish seas have gently smoothed these fragments, but the patterns and colors remain vibrant, a testament to the craftsmanship of the time.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI have a range of these rare collections of beach finds in different colours.
