Sea Glass Stud Earrings - Cobalt Blue - Sterling Silver Scottish Jewellery

A pair of sea glass silver stud earrings, made using tiny fragments of cobalt blue Scottish seaglass. The posts and butterfly backs are sterling silver. The sea glass studs measure approximately 8mm x 7mm. Each pair comes complete with a gift box. (Item: 2167)

The sea glass washes up on the beautiful beaches in Anstruther in the East Neuk of Fife in Scotland. Much of it dates back to the Victorian era and is known as 'mermaid tears'. When sailors were lost at sea, the mermaids would cry and their tears would wash up on the shore.
