A beautiful pendant handmade from antique sea pottery. This sea worn china washes up on the beaches in the East Neuk of Fife in Scotland. This necklace features a lovely blue & white sponge-ware pattern. The decoration is still gloriously vivid despite decades tumbling in the Scottish waves! The pottery has been wire-wrapped with silver plated wire and finished with a tiny Celtic spiral. The pendant measures approximately 3cm high. It comes complete with a silver-plated snake chain and gift box. The chain has an extender on it and can be set to between 16-18 inches. (Item: 2361)

All the sea glass, pottery and shells used to make the necklaces are sourced from the beautiful beaches of the East Neuk of Fife in Scotland. Much of the pottery dates back to the Victorian era, when ceramic factories threw their 'seconds' into the sea and locals used to cast their broken pottery into the waves for good luck! The pottery has been gently worn smooth by the rough Scottish seas but the patterns and colours remain vibrant, a testament to the manufacturing processes of the time.
