Curious Puffin. A framed and signed giclée print taken from an original graphite pencil drawing. The background features an aqua blue, turquoise watercolour wash allowing the black and white seagull to really pop out of the picture! This is quite a statement piece for anyone that just loves puffins! The print comes framed in either white wood, black wood or a rustic washed frame - both measuring 23cm square and with a snow white mount.
Rediscovering graphite drawing and watercolour have been my lockdown projects!
This puffin is taken from a photograph by Simon at the Osprey Isle of May boat trips in the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland. Living in Anstruther on the Firth of Forth, I am very lucky to be only a short boat hop away from the beautiful Isle of May, one of Scotland’s most stunning natural nature reserves. Amongst the huge array of seabirds that make it their home for the summer, is the magical and comical puffin. Upwards of 120,000 have been recorded on the little island! If you're in the area - I can't recommend enough that you take a trip to this amazing island!
