Handcrafted in Scotland, these pretty earrings feature genuine antique pottery collected from the beaches of the East Neuk of Fife. The ceramics and china I find is often from the 19th Century - mostly Victorian. No two pieces are ever the same, giving every pair its own distinctive charm with subtly mismatched shapes and patterns. The colours and patterns are still gloriously vivid despite decades tumbling in the Scottish waves.

The earrings are finished with sterling silver hooks. Measuring approximately 3.5cm from the top of the hook to the base, they are lightweight and comfortable enough for everyday wear or a great choice for special occasions!

All my jewellery is handmade in Scotland from naturally sea-worn materials. I love to gather these treasures while beach-combing on the beautiful beaches in Anstruther in the East Neuk of Fife as well as the surrounding beaches of St Andrews, Pittenweem, Crail & St Monans. Much of the seaglass dates back to the Victorian era and is known as 'mermaid tears'. When sailors were lost at sea, the mermaids would cry and their tears would wash up on the shore.
