A pair of stud earrings, handmade using tiny fragments of reclaimed antique beach pottery. These feature the famous blue & white "willow" pattern, still gloriously vivid despite decades tumbling in the Scottish waves! The posts and butterfly backs are sterling silver. The studs measure approximately 12mm x 9mm. Each pair comes complete with a gift box. (Item: 2644)

All my jewellery is handmade in Scotland from naturally sea-worn materials. I love to gather these treasures while beach-combing on the beautiful beaches in Anstruther in the East Neuk of Fife as well as the surrounding beaches of St Andrews, Pittenweem, Crail & St Monans. Much of the seaglass dates back to the Victorian era and is known as 'mermaid tears'. When sailors were lost at sea, the mermaids would cry and their tears would wash up on the shore.
