Sea Pottery Pendant - Antique Beach China - Orange and Brown Stripy Necklace

A unique pendant handmade from original antique sea pottery. This sea worn china washes up on the beaches in the East Neuk of Fife in Scotland. This necklace features a gorgeous orange and brown pattern. I've found a few pieces with this pattern and it always reminds me of a tiger! It's vibrant decoration has survived decades of tumbling in the Scottish seas. The pendant measures approximately 3.5cm high.

The necklace comes with a silver-plated snake chain with an extender on it which can be worn between 16-18 inches.

All my jewellery is handmade in Scotland from naturally sea-worn materials. I love to gather these treasures while beach-combing on the beautiful beaches in Anstruther in the East Neuk of Fife as well as the surrounding beaches of St Andrews, Pittenweem, Crail & St Monans. Much of the seaglass dates back to the Victorian era and is known as 'mermaid tears'. When sailors were lost at sea, the mermaids would cry and their tears would wash up on the shore.
