Whale Earrings - Green Sea Glass and Aventurine Sterling Silver Jewellery

Whale earrings, handmade from green Scottish sea glass, Aventurine crystal and sterling silver. The earrings include nuggets of genuine sea glass, worn smooth and frosted in the Scottish sea. This pale green colour is evocatively known as 'sea foam'. 

The earrings measure 4.5cm in length from the top of the hook to the bottom of the charm. 

The sea glass used in these earrings is collected from the coastline of the East Neuk of Fife in Scotland, making each pair truly unique and special. The subtle variations in colour and texture add to the organic and natural feel of the earrings.

The earrings arrive in a gift box and gift-wrapped with a free silver cleaning cloth, making them a perfect gift for anyone who loves the sea and it's natural treasures!

The earrings hooks, wire and beads are sterling silver. The charm is not silver but is lead free, nickel safe and a cadmium free zinc alloy.

Aventurine has been chosen to perfectly complement the colours of the sea glass. Rumoured to have been used in the shields of Amazonian Warrior Queens, Aventurine is renowned for bestowing confidence and power. All my jewellery is handmade in Scotland from naturally sea-worn materials. I love to gather these treasures while beach-combing on the beautiful beaches in Anstruther in the East Neuk of Fife as well as the surrounding beaches of St Andrews, Pittenweem, Crail & St Monans. Much of the seaglass dates back to the Victorian era and is known as 'mermaid tears'. When sailors were lost at sea, the mermaids would cry and their tears would wash up on the shore.
